Moldflow: Takeover Completed
The US software corporation Autodesk Inc. successfully completed its takeover of Moldflow Corporation, Framingham, USA, on June 25. The transaction is worth a total of USD 297 million. Moldflow, a leading supplier of software solutions for the simulation of injection molding processes, is completely integrated into Autodesk. Moldflow’s existing customer base will in future be supported by Autodesk.
Moldflow made revenues of USD 55.9 million in fiscal 2007. Its best known software solutions are the Moldflow Plastics Advisers. According to Carl Bass, President and CEO of Autodesk, the company intends to use the Moldflow simulation programs to further expand its own digital prototyping strategy.
