Menzolit: Bought by German Investor
The Swedish company Plastal has sold Menzolit Compounds International, Heidelberg, Germany, to Allfinanz, Freising, Germany. The contract has been signed in Heidelberg on 20 April.
Even before Plastal’s filing for insolvency at the beginning of March, negotiations to sell Menzolit Compounds International GmbH and its subsidiaries were already under way.
Allfinanz is an strategic investor who is exclusive shareholder of several medium-sized companies, operating mainly in the field of plastics processing.
By restructuring the company and building a new foundation for the plants in France, Italy, Spain, Great Britain and China, the new owner plans to strengthen Menzolit’s prosition as a market leader. Menzolit will continue focussing its business on its core competences, the production of fiber-reinforced thermosetting compounds like SMC, BMC and CIC, as well as targeting the expansion and development of technology and products.
