Mauser: New Plant in China
In order to better meet the requirements of its customers in the region, Mauser Group, Brühl, Germany, has invested 15 million EUR and opened a new site in Jiangyin, China. The Mauser Jiangyin plant will produce Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), 210-liter L-Ring and open top drums, as well as 210-liter steel drums. This is the only plant in China that manufactures PE- and steel drums as well as IBCs.
As SBU Manager Asia Pacific, Christian Schaedlich will be responsible for the expansion and strategic alignment of all of Mauser’s Asian businesses from the company’s office in Shanghai. He succeeds Hans-Peter Schaefer, who was appointed as CEO of Mauser Group in February 2012, and will also report directly to him. Schaedlich has been in senior management positions throughout Asia for the past 20 years. Prior to joining Mauser, he was CFO at Wacker Chemicals in Greater China. He has also held several positions in general management for Leybold Vacuum Group in Asia.
