LyondellBasell: Reduction of PP Capacity
LyondellBasell will shut down one polypropylene (PP) line in Wesseling, Germany, by the end of 2009. As a result, PP capacity at the site will be reduced by 110 kt.
According to the company, the line in Wesseling is one of the smallest and oldest PP units they have, the current PP operating rate is no longer economically viable.
