KraussMaffei: Subsidiaries to Merge in China
In parallel with the merger in Brazil, the KraussMaffei Group is also bundling its strengths and expertise in China. In future a single subsidiary will market the products of all three brands – KraussMaffei, KraussMaffei Berstorff and Netstal. The new KraussMaffei Group subsidiary in China with merge two existing Chinese subsidiaries into Shanghai KraussMaffei Machinery Co. Ltd., located in Shanghai, it will start operating on July 1, 2011. With demand growing in the region, KraussMaffei will be considering the possibility of future expansions to the Haiyan production plant.
Managing director of the new, larger subsidiary in China will be Harald Schweitzer. He joined KraussMaffei in 2008 as head of our Chinese subsidiary. He played a leading role in setting up the production plant in Haiyan. Andreas Nydegger, currently managing director of Netstal’s Chinese subsidiary, will give Schweitzer his support through the transition, but plans to leave the company at the end of the year.
