Interplast Ltd. in Ghana, a plastic pipe producer in West Africa, once again chooses systems from KraussMaffei Berstoff, Munich, Germany. The current order is for two profile extrusion lines, on which a twin-strand process is used to produce PVC panels with a width of up to 100 mm to be used for wall and ceiling paneling. The core components of the systems, which will go into operation in September 2012, are two conical twin-screw extruders of size KMD 63 K/P. The business relationship between Interplast and KraussMaffei Berstorff began in 2011 as the company ordered a corrugated pipe extrusion system, a profile extrusion line and a raw material pelletizing solution. In connection with the increased demand for its profile extrusion portfolio, Interplast decided once again on a system from the German company.
Interplast, founded in 1970 in Ghana produces it complete product portfolio for the local market and exports to more than 20 countries in Africa.
