Incoe Opens New European Headquarters
After just seven months in construction, Incoe International Europe, of Rödermark, Germany, has completely moved into its newly built European Headquarters near the former company building. The building complex consists of two adjoining tracts covering more than 14,000 square meters (150,000 square feet). This gives the hot runner system manufacturer roughly 1,800 m2 (over 19,000 square feet) of office space and 3,400 m2 (more than 36,000 square feet) of production space – with the option of further expansion.
"Up until now, divisions such as Applications Technology, Design and Assembly had to be coordinated across three building complexes, which were for the most part rented," explains Gunnar Gramatzki, General Manager in Rödermark. Plans for the European Headquarters made the most of the design alternatives for efficient production, management and customer support, with all of the areas arranged on the basis of lean management guidelines. Naturally, modern energy concepts were implemented as well, taking into account such key details as a climate-controlled quality assurance laboratory. The decision to go forward with the construction project was made in 2012 Incoe USA headquarters.
In his remarks at the cornerstone laying, Eric J. Seres, Jr., CEO, made it clear that the Headquarters in the US was convinced of the sustained success in Europe and viewed the investment in a new European Headquarters in the heart of Europe as a logical next step. There were expansion projects under way in China and the US as well.
Gunnar Gramatzki stated that the European Headquarters, as part of the network with the other locations worldwide, represents a centrally located competence and production centre for the important European market and will also serve as a forum for sharing competence and promoting innovation. The lean management principles applied will undergo further development on a continuous basis.
