Husky Luxembourg Celebrates 30th Anniversary
Husky Injection Molding Systems, founded in 1953 as a small machine shop in a Toronto garage, is now celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Luxembourg campus. The first plant in Dudelange, Luxembourg was established in March 1984, and has grown to today include production of PET and beverage closure molds as well as the European Sales & Service Headquarters. It is also responsible for the EMEA and SAARC regions.
Meanwhile, Husky has become the largest brand name supplier of injection molding equipment and services to the global plastics industry, with more than 40 service and sales offices worldwide. More than 850 team members from over 20 different nationalities work at Husky in Dudelange, creating a truly international working environment. Among them are 15 apprentices that are trained in six different professions.
The Luxembourgish Minister of Labor, guests from the Luxembourgish Government, the Canadian Embassy, the Unions, business partners, and friends of the company all paid Husky a visit to acknowledge the special occasion. The guests were impressed by the campus and complimented Husky’s environmental initiatives and continued engagement in Luxembourgish communities. Husky Luxembourg supports local initiatives like “Relais pour la vie” and the Luxembourg Marathon with numerous participants, and by raising funds through various activities on the campus.
