HaloPolymer Holding: Member of the U.S. Society of Plastics Industry
The HaloPolymer Holding, Moscow, has become the first Russian company, which entered the American Society of Plastics Industry (SPI). SPI is one of the most influential organizations representing the interests of market participants in the field of U.S. plastics. The membership in SPI is an important step in strengthening the company’s position in the U.S. market, which allows HaloPolymer to integrate into the international professional community, to share experiences with U.S. companies in the chemical industry, to keep track of the market trends, and to improve the quality of its services and products.
The PTFE production capacity of the enterprises of the HaloPolymer Holding reached 12,700 t in 2011 alone. However, about 80 % of all the products manufactured by the Holding are exported to more than 30 countries, including the United States. The U.S. market is historically one of the main consumers of PTFE in the world, processing more than 20 % of global production. Despite all significant production capacity within the country, a significant part of consumption is covered by imports.
