Giulio Natta Award: New Committee Member
The Giulio Natta Award’s Scientific Committee has appointed Gunilla Herrgård, Chief Scientist for polyolefins research and development at Borealis, as an official member.
The Giulio Natta Award is awarded to senior researchers whose scientific activities contributed substantially to improving life quality and left a significant mark on society. The prize is named after Professor Giulio Natta who won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1963 for the discovery of polypropylene.
Gunilla Herrgårds first official task as new member of the Award Committee was to hand over the award to Professor Arkady Dykman, whose inventions and proceedings are aimed at developing and perfecting technological industrial processes for production of isoprene, phenol and acetone.
