German Packaging Institute: Best Packaging of 2013 Awarded
At a formal ceremony on the eve of the packaging trade fair FachPack, the German Packaging Institute (dvi) awarded the most innovative cross-material packaging solutions of the year. Among the winners there were three displays, one label, three transport and logistics packagings, two drinks packagings, three for cosmetics and hygiene, five for food and animal feed, one for washing, cleaning and detergents, one for pharmaceutical and medical and two from the category Other. Prizes were also awarded to one packaging machine and three innovations from the Young Talent section.
Under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, designers, developers, producers and users of packaging from 12 countries submitted a total of 232 innovative solutions. A broad jury of experts from trade associations, industry and commerce, media and academia nominated 54 entries in six categories for the German Packaging Award.
The best 25 solutions were honored at the gala for the award-winners in Nuremberg with the seal of approval "Best Packaging" on the eve of the packaging trade fair FachPack. All nominees and award-winners are displayed with images and text by the jury in an online gallery on the website www.packagingaward.de.
