Gabriel-Chemie: Production Capacity Increased

Additional machines have been installed and staffing levels increased for the production of color and additive masterbatches at the Gabriel-Chemie Group’s European sites. Production capacity at the main works in Gumpoldskirchen, Austria, has been increased by 2,000 tons p.a. with six new extruders. Using these new production lines, new products will also be manufactured in future, such as additional additives for PET processing and bio degradable masterbatches on a PLA basis. This is associated with an increase in staffing levels in the technical departments as well as the expansion of the sales team.

The factory in Russia, which only opened in 2007, will receive two additional machines for the production of color masterbatches and will also be able to manufacture white and additive masterbatches in future using the new extruders. It has therefore been possible to increase production capacities by 1,000 tons p.a. A new sales office has been established in St Petersburg and a production site, also in St Petersburg, is currently at the planning stage.

A new production line for the manufacture of color and additive masterbatches has been installed in each of the works in Hungary and the Czech Republic, hence increasing capacities by up to 25 %, depending on the site.
