First European Plastics Recycling Show to Be Launched
Europe’s first Pan-European exhibition and conference solely dedicated to plastics recycling, the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRS) is to be held at the Tour & Taxis Venue in Brussels on the 25th and 26th November 2015. The Plastics Recycling Show will feature an exhibition and multiple conference streams designed specifically for plastics recycling professionals. It will bring together key players from the plastics and recycling sectors in order to learn, network and capitalize on the business opportunities plastic recycling offers.
A broad cross section of the industry will be represented at the event including plastics recycling machinery and equipment suppliers, plastic material suppliers and compounders, handling and logistics services, pre-processors, plastics recyclers, waste management specialists, industry associations and project management consultants.
Industry body Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) is strongly supporting the exhibition and will hold its working group meetings, which will be open to non-members, at the PRS Europe event. PRE represents approximately 80% of European mechanical recycling capacity and has over 115 members from across the EU. Its mission is to promote plastics recycling in Europe and to create a good business climate for plastics recyclers. The working group meetings gather around 150 participants from the plastic converting and recycling industries and more are expected to participate in 2015.
Until recently the plastics recycling industry has had a relatively low profile with more than 50% of plastics in Europe being sent to landfill every year. PRS which is organized Crain Communications in association with PRW and European Plastics News aims to change this situation and to put focus on the most pressing issues within the plastics recycling industry.
