EPDA Gears up for Annual Conference

Successfully breaking into new markets and the digital revolution will be top of the agenda when the European Plastics Distributors Association (EPDA), Salisbury, UK, gathers for its annual conference in Barcelona, Spain.

The Association was formed in 1973 and is the voice of the European plastics distribution industry, representing companies in more than twenty countries involved in a cross section of distribution and manufacturing activities encompassing plastic sheet, blocks, rods, profiles, tubes, pipe, valves, fittings and numerous related activities.

EPDA’s flagship event is being held 11-13 June, and there’s a free place for one delegate from every distributor member company, as well as a complimentary table top for all manufacturer members. The conference will kick off with an opening address by EPDA President David Ladyman. In between talks, discussion groups and the manufacturers’ showcase, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with industry colleagues from all over Europe and further afield.

Successful Trading Across Borders and Cultures is the title of the first morning session, hosted by Global Business Culture Director, Keith Warburton. The Digital Revolution and how it changes the business environment will then be explored by Ville Tolvanen, Strategy Director of Digitalist Network. To conclude day two, a series of round table discussions will give delegates the chance to exchange information and views as well as providing a good opportunity for networking. Topics will be led by industry experts and cover e-business and digitization (revolutionizing B2B industries).

David Ladyman, who will also wrap up the conference, said: “The EPDA annual conference is the highlight of the year for our distributor and manufacturer members, offering valuable insights into overcoming industry challenges and exploring new ways of doing business. It is one of the few occasions when all our members are able to get together and share their ideas and strategies."
