Engel Appoints Vice President for Technical Moulding
Felix Hüthmair, who has been serving as managing director at Engel (Schweiz) AG, will become the vice president of the Technical Moulding Business Unit of Engel Austria at the company headquarters in Schwertberg, Austria. In past years, the Automotive and Technical Moulding Business Units were under the same leadership. By putting Technical Molding under its own leadership, Engel is now strengthening both areas, which are continuing to show strong growth.
The Technical Moulding Business Unit is concerned with applications in the areas of household and white goods, toys, sports and leisure, construction and water technology, electronics, furniture and office supplies. Because the requirements involved are sometimes quite similar, the Automotive and Technical Moulding Business Units were previously both under the leadership of Franz Füreder. With Felix Hüthmair now becoming the new vice president of the Technical Moulding Business Unit, both strongly growing departments will be gaining more clout. Franz Füreder remains vice president of the Engel Automotive Business Unit. Felix Hüthmair has been with Engel since 2009, managing the business activities at Engel (Schweiz) AG during this time. After altogether 20 years in Switzerland, Hüthmair's new position will now be leading him back to his home country of Austria.
Taking over for Felix Hüthmair as managing director at Engel (Schweiz) AG based in Frauenfeld is his successor Markus Schertler, who has already been serving Engel for many years as a sales engineer in Switzerland. Engel (Schweiz) AG has been growing strongly in the past years and was able to secure significant gains in Engel's market share in Switzerland.
