Dow: Capability Expansion at Texas Facility
The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) has further developed its specialty polyols manufacturing capability at the Company’s Freeport, Texas, plant to meet the demand for differentiated polyurethane products from customers in the automotive, coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers, and furniture and bedding industries. Polyols manufactured at the Freeport site support demand for specialty products and systems in North America.
The completion of the project, which coincides with the closing of Dow’s Sarnia, Ontario, polyols facility announced in August 2006, further strengthens Dow’s competitiveness in today’s challenging economic environment.
