Change in the Chief Editorial Office of Kunststoffe
Organizational Changes also in the FORM+Werkzeug Magazine
Susanne Schröder will become editor-in-chief of the magazines Kunststoffe and Kunststoffe international on December 1, 2020. The current editor-in-chief Dr. Karlhorst Klotz will leave the company by mutual agreement.
Susanne Schröder, until now editor-in-chief of the industry magazine FORM+Werkzeug, will take over as editor-in-chief of the magazines Kunststoffe and Kunststoffe international on December 1, 2020 from Dr. Karlhorst Klotz, who is leaving the company by best mutual agreement. Susanne Schröder will work on innovations together with the experienced editorial team and implement them in the sense of a sustainable orientation of both titles. The personnel changes are part of several organizational changes in the trade journal division of Carl Hanser Verlag.
Further Personnel Change
Due to the points of contact in terms of content between the magazines WB Werkstatt + Betrieb and FORM+Werkzeug, the decision was made to place them under the joint responsibility of Helmut Damm. Damm, who has been editor-in-chief of WB Werkstatt + Betrieb for many years, will continue to develop the titles in line with their brand cores in both print and digital.
"We are convinced that the innovations planned by Helmut Damm will further increase the attractiveness of both titles," says Oliver Rohloff, Managing Director of Carl Hanser Verlag. FORM+Werkzeug will therefore continue to exist as an independent magazine.
Closer Interlocking of Four Trade Journals
The four trade journals FORM+Werkzeug, WB Werkstatt + Betrieb, Kunststoffe und Kunststoffe international will work more closely together in the future. Rohloff comments: "As a modern media house, we are convinced that we can proactively promote the change in the distribution and procurement of information in this way for the benefit of our readers and for the benefit of our customers".
The Hanser managing director expressly thanked the outgoing editor-in-chief: "We would like to thank Dr. Karlhorst Klotz for his great commitment and dedication in leading the magazines Kunststoffe und Kunststoffe international and his editorial team very successfully over the last five years, during which a number of challenges had to be overcome. We wish him all the best for the future", says Rohloff.
