Call for Partners: Consortium Study on Additive Manufacturing
The Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT, together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT and the company KEX Knowledge Exchange AG, all Aachen, Germany, is planning a second round for a Consortium Study on Additive Manufacturing (AM). This industry focused project will be starting on March 24th 2015 and ending on December 9th 2015.
The main objective of this study is to get a detailed overview about technological and market related trends in AM. The results will be achieved by analysis of future challenges and R&D trends for AM, market structures and future product requirements as well as cross-industry synergetics and complements.
On the 24th of September 2014, a first round of the consortium study started with the participation of over 40 relevant industry players. Due to the high demand for this study and the continuous request for further places, a second round has been initiated. In cooperation with the most relevant players, this consortium study aspires to create economic and technological transparency and to point out future trends and developments of additive manufacturing technologies. Furthermore, the project instigators aim to promote valuable exchange and networking between more than 60 international industry partners in the field of additive manufacturing.
Interested parties are welcome to participate in the project.
