According to the Applied Market Information Ltd. AMI Consulting is forecasting that in the next four years, growth in PA consumption will weaken to 3.4% per year despite strong growth in Central Europe and a long term GDP growth forecast of 2.3% per year. Demand for PA compounds or polymer at the processor level in 2006 reached 863,000 tonnes and is expected to grow to 986,000 tonnes in 2010. The application segment with the highest consumption of PA continuous to be automotive engineering.
