Adcuram Sells Battenfeld
Shortly before christmas the Adcuram Group AG, Munich, Germany, announced that they have sold Battenfeld Kunststoffmaschinen Gesellschaft m.b.H. based in Kottingbrunn, Austria, to the British company OOD Private Equity Ltd. While the service and the spare parts business that was separated in August 2007 remains part of the Adcuram Group, Battenfeld Injection Molding, the business with new injection molding machines, is now in the hands of the British investor that has so far issued no statement regarding the future of the company.
Approximately 140 employees of Battenfeld Kundendienst GmbH & Co KG, Meinerzhagen, Germany, and Battenfeld Kunststoffmaschinen Service GmbH, Kottingbrunn, will continue to provide customers with their service. Management and contact persons for customers and suppliers remains unchanged as well.
Meanwhile, Battenfeld Kunststoffmaschinen Gesellschaft m.b.H. submitted a request to open insolvency proceedings at the Regional Court Wiener Neustadt on 3 January 2008. The company considered themselves obliged to take this action since an injection of equity capital which had been needed for some time has not been provided by either the former or the present owner.
