New Cooperation between TER Plastics Polymer Group and Toray

TER Plastics Polymer Group, Germany, and Toray, Japan, have agreed on a distribution cooperation. From now on, TER Plastics Polymer Group is distributing Toray’s Toyolac brand products throughout Europe. The Toyolac portfolio is one the broadest styrenics portfolio within the global producers, including a complete range of products like opaque and transparent ABS, ASA, SAN and blends like PC/ABS, ABS/PBT or ABS/PET.

Toray is a leading technological company with a very strong presence in high-tech markets like fibers & textiles, carbon fiber composite materials, plastics & chemicals and life sciences. Based in Japan, Toray currently operates two plants for the production of Toyoloac products: one in Japan and the other in Malaysia with an accumulated throughput between the two of them of 402 kMT/yr, with the highest capacity for transparent ABS among global producers. The production capacity together with a global presence and a very solid technical background makes Toray one of the most important styrenic producers worldwide.

With the incorporation of Toyolac products, TER Plastics Polymer Group completes the portfolio of styrenic materials. This new cooperation agreement opens the door to address innovative projects in every European country and supplies the customers in Europe by reducing the number of different contacts that plastic processors and OEMs will need to approach for Pan-European projects.
