Track Construction: Noise Abatement through Use of a Foam-Filled Ballast Layer
With the aid of a foaming system for flexible polyurethane, it is possible to completely fill the voids between the ballast rock in the bedding below railroad tracks. Shifting of the ballast due to the dynamic loads imposed by the rail traffic is prevented in this way. The service life of the upper ballast layer is thus increased several times, and the solid-borne noise is dampened at its origin.Beitrag auf Deutsch lesen
