The Potential of Sewing: Complex Multi-Textile Preforms
Resin injection processes (e. g., RTM) are taking on ever greater importance in the production of structural parts made of fibre-plastic composites (FPCs). Further development of these production methods is critically dependent on the provision of tailored reinforcements, so-called preforms. This article compares the potential afforded by sewing technology in the manufacture of preforms with conventional preforming methods.Beitrag auf Deutsch lesen
International Polymer Processing, the journal of the Polymer Processing Society, is a discussion forum for the world-wide community of engineers and scientists in the field of polymer processing.
The journal covers research and industrial application in the very specific areas of designing polymer products, processes, processing machinery and equipment.
