Test Method to Determine the Friction Coefficient between Plastics and Moulding Surfaces: Friction Behaviour of Thermoplastics
The friction behaviour of plastics in contact with the surfaces of injection moulds is a key factor that must be considered in designing the ejection system. As part of the Mouldfriction programme at the University of Minho, Guimarães/Portugal, a test apparatus was developed that simulates the conditions encountered in an injection mould and makes it possible to study the friction behaviour of plastics under quasi-real conditions.Beitrag auf Deutsch lesen
International Polymer Processing, the journal of the Polymer Processing Society, is a discussion forum for the world-wide community of engineers and scientists in the field of polymer processing.
The journal covers research and industrial application in the very specific areas of designing polymer products, processes, processing machinery and equipment.
