Toward Thermoformed Metal-Plastic Hybrids

The hybrid thermoforming of filled plastics expands the range of functions of thermoformed parts, and opens up new fields of application for the process. Functionalized components can be produced by means of an insert that is placed in a thermoforming mold, and is enclosed in a filled semi-finished product during thermoforming.
