Sequential Injection Molding: From a Cascade to a Flow

Sequential Injection Molding: From a Cascade to a Flow

Sequential Injection Molding with valve pin systems can be difficult to master in applications which entail long, narrow flow paths but must yield a high surface finish. Decorative trim for premium class vehicles is one such example: it can be several meters long. One automotive subcontractor, working in conjunction with a hot runner manufacturer, has managed to render this critical process so stable by means of a valve pin speed control that different materials can be molded alternately using the same settings.
