High Growth Rates: Polycarbonate (PC)
With an annual growth of between 8 and 9%, polycarbonate (PC) has been one of the ’outperformers’ among the engineering plastics in the last few years. The latter have been growing by an average of about 6% p.a. worldwide. Demand for PC will continue to rise at an above-average rate especially in the Far East, which is why manufacturers are currently focusing their investment activities on that region. PC blends will play a bigger role in the years to come.
