The use of sliding shoes made from the high-performance ceramic material silicon nitride has a decisive advantage in controllable water pumps in automotive manufacturing: optimized friction. In motor vehicles, this results in both reduced power consumption and reduced CO2 emissions. These sliding shoes are produced by FCT Ingenieurkeramik GmbH using a ceramic injection molding process (CIM).
