Mixing Incorruptibly

The success of mixing in extrusion and the product homogeneity are often only assessed optically based on individual experience. A new characterization process now permits the color distribution to be assessed objectively using clear criteria. It allows the mixing quality of extrusion systems to be assessed for different polymers and process parameters.
