BASF Striving for Disproportionately High Growth in Plastics: Cost Efficiency and Innovations
In 2000, the plastics and fibres division at BASF generated roughly a third of the overall sales of some EUR 36 billion and roughly a quarter of the overall result of some EUR 3.4 billion. With cost-efficient plant and processes, further developed specialities and a simultaneous global presence, the division is intending to achieve disproportionately high growth over the next few years.
