A New Facility in Saudi Arabia and its Particular Features: Central Vacuum Unit for Blown Film Extrusion

Vacuum conveying systems for pelletised material are state of the art in plastics processing. A wide range of different systems are in use, extending from a single blower to a collective unit in which several hopper loaders are allocated to one blower. In this respect, however, the technical possibilities for economical vacuum generation are not yet exhausted. This article describes the use of such a system based on the example of a central vacuum unit at B+K MEC in Saudi Arabia.
