In recent years research and industry have been very innovative in the field of thermosets. Examples include, on the one hand, a fundamentally new resin system and the successful integration of nanotechnology and, on the other hand, a major advance in the automated processing of fiber-reinforced reactive resins. These developments strengthen the technological position of this group of materials of high load-bearing capacity and will push them further along the envisioned road towards suitability for volume production.
