Designs and multi-material elements incorporating rigid polyurethane foams have proven themselves in exterior applications, e. g. on façades, on the roofs of buildings, as solar module fasteners as well as on the exterior of automobiles and commercial vehicles. These positive results are now leading to consideration of this material for solar collectors.
