Carbide Insert KP-VCGT-22-S
Machining Deep Plastic Contours
Otto Dieterle Spezialwerkzeuge GmbH in Rottweil, Germany, have added new geometries to their range of products for plastic machining. Carbide insert KP-VCGT-22-S was specially developed for plastic contours with deep design. This tool is the big brother of KP-VCGT-16-S. It features an outstanding acute angle of 13° and a cutting-edge radius of 0.7, thus making plastic machining more versatile and precise, even for large plastic parts.
Founded in 1962, the company claims their products are characterized by extraordinary sharpness. Whether for thermosets, elastomers, rubber or PTFE – suitable machining is available for any type of material. Specially designed cutting geometries enable the user to process, e.g., planar and trimming surfaces without flashes. The blade and cutting-edge geometry can be designed according to customer requirements.
